Work has begun on constructing the bridge for the ship.  It's about halfway done and making steady progress.   Tom has put a lot of effort into this and it really looks nice.

I may be out of bounds on this post.  Demote me and teach me a lesson if I am.

As some know (and some don't) we needed to vacate the free space in Rainbow Stallion so that they could resume some development there.  With dwell ending in a few days, many sim owners are reverting to renting space, homes, etc to make the 70,000 linden a month to break even.

The ship is awesome!  But, we need a new place to put it.

Option 1: 700 prims means about 6 folks at premium, grouping to buy 3072sqm of land.  I would say if you got it, contact Kijara or Aspera for coordination.

Option 2: Rent 3072 sqm land.  I think rates are about 1:1 (linden to sq/m per month).  This means we need a revenue source.  I think we have 13 members, that's 250 linden a month for each of us.   As we grow, we'll likely need more space, but we'll have more members, too.

Option 3: Find a Daddy Warbucks who is willing to just let us have land for free.  Maybe they'd join the group?

Option 4: I was told that some of the other SF groups probably have land to spare, but would need to be contacted.  Hey, we're all in the same fleet, just different universes.

Those are my ideas.  Let me know how to help.

You are not out of bounds on this, we need to figure this out.  Everything happened a lot faster than I expected it to, and now we come to the point we would have been at before your generous offer, except that we have a ship and only need a place to park it.

My original idea for this group was to work with the other Trek groups to schedule a time when we could play on their ships.  Then we could get a better idea of how active the group was going to be and when we would be able to afford a 1/6th sim or so sized plot.

But as cool as the ship is it is worth playing in if we can find the space to put it up.  It's a bit early to be asking for donations from group members, but anyone who has a premium account and haven't bought land can save us some bucks without spending an additional dime.

I have contributed 1024 square meters of land tier to the group and soon I hope to get two others to donate another 512 each.

If we can get at least 4096 in land donations we will give each person who donated 512 or more their own private quarters on board ship with a modest prim allowance for personal effects.  This number will depend on how many prims we have left on the land, which is based on the amount of land we have.  So the more people donate, the more land we can get and the more we have left over for future growth and cabin decorations.
