The Screenshots Thread (and how to make them)

How to take a screenshot:

Hit PrtScrn. Done. It takes a shot each time youhit it instead of loading it to the clipboard, so it doesn't change the saved one each time you change it.

How to find a screenshot:

Should be stored in your Star Trek Online folder, under STO>Live>Screenshots.

How to set up a screenshot:

Pretty obvious. Crop to taste, fiddle lighting levels etc.

How to post a screenshot:

The attachment size hasbeen increased to handle most sizes of screencap. If you have a truly monstrous screen resolution, then first, cool, second, crop it a bit or lower the JPEG quality.

Note that STO screencaps produced this way do not include the user interface (meaning don't worry oo much igf it gets in the way) They do, however, rather irritatingly for combat shots, show the shield strength markers around the ships.
